I'm Joy Roberson, the owner of two very different rentals: a studio condo in Washington, DC, and a 3-bedroom house in the Birmingham, Alabama, area. I've rented through a corporate housing company while living overseas, managed a 12-month lease through a property manager, hosted on Airbnb, and now self-manage a furnished rental set up for longer stays.
